Abstract

1426323 Oil filter trolley UNIT OIL FILTERS LTD and B L WHITESIDE 26 Feb 1973 [20 Jan 1972] 2699/72 Heading B1D A mobile oil filter comprises a trolley carrying an electric pump 16 which delivers oil to a manifold 21 connected to three filters 25, 26, 27 in parallel, the filters discharging to a second manifold 31 leading to outlet 32, and each filter comprising an axial flow paper roll element in a housing. The manifolds 21 and 31 are provided by hollow tubular parts of the trolley frame. A preliminary strainer 20 is provided upstream of pump 16, which has a line 19 by which excess oil returns to strainer 20. In a double-decked version (Fig. 1, not shown) an electric heater is connected between the pump and manifold 21 to reduce oil viscosity.
