Abstract

1423359 Sag rods METAL TRIM LTD 24 July 1973 [2 Aug 1972] 36030/72 Heading E1W A sag rod assembly comprises two elongate elements joined to each other in the region of their mid point and being provided at each of their opposite ends with a resilient portion for passing through an aperture in a purlin and for automatic retention therein. The two elements 1, 2 may be U-shaped in cross section and joined at their mid-portions 3 in back to back arrangement by rivets. The retention mechanism at each end of the elements 1, 2 may be as disclosed in Specification 1115425 having a resilient spring. In addition a tab may be bent up from the web of the U-shaped cross section under the spring to prevent withdrawal of the assembly after insertion.
