Abstract

Hasp fastenings.-A fastener for boxes comprises a hinge A having one flap fixed to the side or top of the box B, and the other flap C fitted with a headed stud E carrying a cross-pin H for insertion through a slot K in a plate I fixed to the top or side of the box. The stud is rotated by its shaped head to place the pin H across the slot, in which position it is retained by a groove L in the underside of the plate I transverse to the slot and a spring or spring washer G under the head of the stud.
