Abstract

1421763 Workbenches BLACK & DECKER Ltd and R APPLEBY 25 May 1973 [7 March 1972] 10519/72 Heading B4X A work bench comprises a support structure for two elongate members 1, 2 the upper coplanar surfaces of which define the working surface of the bench, a single lead screw 5 being provided to adjust the members 1, 2 relatively to each other as the jaws of a vice. One of the jaws 2 is pivotally mounted on a trunnion 10 so as to permit gripping of tapered work and a screw-adjusted spacer block 17 is provided at the end of the jaw 1 so as to permit the clamping of parallel-sided work between the jaws at the other end of the bench.
