Abstract

1421189 Press plates JOHNSON-PROGRESS LTD 25 April 1974 [30 April 1973] 20511/73 Heading B1D A recessed filter plate 10 has at least two feed eyes 17 disposed symmetrically on either side of a centre line of the plate. When the plate is positioned with its larger dimension vertical two feed eyes are positioned at <SP>1</SP>/ 3 and <SP>2</SP>/ 3 the vertical dimension. The plate may be dimpled and is provided with drainage 'eyes' 13 and 14 connected to drainage surfaces by channels 15 and 16. The feed eyes may be annularly recessed and have countersunk shoulders to receive a mating and sealing ring on a filter cloth, (as in Fig. 2 not shown). Six stay bosses to further support the plate may be provided one in each quarter of a recessed part of the plate and two on a horizontal centre line each one on a side of the plate centre.
