Abstract
1418332 Estimating supplements in feedstuffs MICRO TRACERS INC 24 April 1973 [11 Aug 1972] 19394/73 Heading A5B [Also in Division G1] The amount of feed supplement in a homogeneous animal feed is determined by premixing a finely divided ferromagnetic tracer material with the supplement in a known ratio, mixing the pre-mix with an animal feed and quantitatively estimating the tracer by separating and removing it by magnetic means and meausuring the amount of material so removed. Preferably, the tracer particles are coated with a soluble dye which may be dissolved from the separated particles and used as the basis of the said estimation.
