Abstract

1416877 Clips CARR FASTENER CO LTD 28 Nov 1973 [28 Nov 1972] 54940/72 Heading E2B A clip of circular configuration for encircling and securing a compliant tubular member on a mating member, comprises a strip 10 of spring material, i.e. spring steel, one end 11 of which is provided with at least one abutment 20 which when that end is inserted into an aperture 14 at the other end 12 of the strip engages the edge 17 of a tongue 18. A lug 15 and an abutment 16 are provided and for engagement by a tool to force the end 11 through the aperture whereby the tongue can ratchet over the abutments 20. In the unstressed condition of the clip the end 11 lies inwardly of and near to the aperture 14.
