1416426 Trailers J N M GREEN 26 Jan 1973 [28 Oct 1971] 45169/71 Heading B7B A trailer comprises a U-frame 1 the base of which is positioned to the front of the vehicle, a drawer bar 8 having side members parallel to the sides of the U-frame and hinged thereto, and a load platform 9 hung at the rear of the U- frame so as to be hinged thereto, the forward end of the platform 9 being supported from the drawer bar 8 adjacent the U-frame base while extensible and contractible means, such as a screw and nut 15, are provided attached to the base of the U-frame and to the drawer bar 8. In order to attain the tilted position shown in Fig. 3, one of the three pivot points must be made movable relative to the others by providing, for example, an elongate slot for a pin to move along on pivoting. In a modification, Fig. 4, the forward end of platform 9 can be supported from a cable 17 wound on a winch 18 on the drawbar 8. The screw and nut 15 may be replaced by levers or an hydraulic cylinder arrangement. The hinge connections are made removable for platforms of different designs to be substituted.
