Abstract

1415521 Gas turbine plant LANDON KINGSWAY Ltd 12 Feb 1973 [29 Jan 1972] 4309/72 Heading F1G The invention relates to a hot gas generator which comprises an air compressor 18, a combustion chamber 24 and a turbine 11 which is connected to drive the compressor through shaft 10. Gases discharging from the turbine 11 pass to a second turbine 30 which is connected to drive a water pump 36 through shaft 28. Water from the pump 36 passes to a heat exchanger 40 where it is heated by exhaust gases discharging from the second turbine 30 through line 42. The heated water or steam then passes through valve 52 and restriction 53 into the combustion chamber 24 where it mixes with the combustion gases. The humidified exhaust gases discharging from the second turbine 30 through line 42 pass to a point of use - for example they may be utilized for soil heating.
