Abstract

1413697 Seals TOUR AGENTURER AB 17 Dec 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 58319/73 Heading F2B A seal assembly for a valve spindle 2 comprises one or more V-section seal rings 13 disposed between a support ring 14 and a pressure ring 15, the lips on the side of the seal rings which abut the movable part being in contact with either the pressure ring or an adjacent seal ring while the opposite lips form a gap therewith. The seal assembly may be housed in an extension 11 of a gland nut 7 and the pressure ring 15 urged upwardly by a spring 6. The seal rings may be made of P.T.F.E. reinforced with 12 to 18% carbon.
