1412877 Photo-degradable polymer compositions BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODAFABRIK AG 26 Feb 1973 [26 Feb 1972 (2)] 9271/73 Heading C3P Moulding compositions comprise (1) a synthetic organic thermoplastic polymer and (2) 0À01 to 5 weight per cent based on the polymer of a photo-degradation accelerator which is 13-methoxybenzanthrone or 6,13-dibromobenzanthrone. The polymer may be a styrene, olefin or vinyl chloride polymer, or a polylactam, polyurethane, polyester or polyamide. Examples describe compositions comprising (1 and 4) polyethylene, (2 and 5) polypropylene and (3 and 6) polystyrene and the above accelerators.
