Abstract

1412643 Radio navigation REDIFON Ltd 27 Sept 1973 [22 Sept 1972] 44024/72 Heading H4D A photo-sensitive device controls the phase of the output signals of a signal generator at predetermined intervals. As applied to testing apparatus for an " Omega " receiver a phototransistor is adapted to be clipped on to a " format " lamp on the receiver which flashes in synchronism with the internally generated Omega sequence format. The signal generator provides a pair of signals, one of which is of fixed phase and the other is switched in 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees phase steps and is utilized to check the correct operation of the receiver.
