Abstract

1412337 Packaging screen printing cylinders SCREENTEX Ltd 25 Jan 1974 [2 March 1973] 10227/73 Heading B8C In the packaging of screen printing cylinders, e.g. in a snugly fitting carton, one or more expansible bags are positioned within the cylinder and inflated or filled under pressure, e.g. with particulate material, to bear firmly against the inner wall thereof and reinforce it against collapse. As shown, a plurality of similar screen printing cylinders 10 are distorted to position one within the other, a suitable shaped block 12, e.g. of polystyrene, is positioned centrally of the assembly of cylinders, and two tubular bags 13, e.g. of polyethylene, are placed in the remaining spaces and filled under pressure with beads of polystyrene. Sealing clips 14 are positioned about the necks of the bags at each end, and the ends 15 of the bags are sealed. For release, clips 14 are removed and the filler ma-. terial is shaken into the hitherto empty extremities 13a of the bags to thereby lessen the diameter of the bags.
