Abstract

1412152 Packages; bottle cap liners DOW CHEMICAL CO 22 Dec 1972 59445/72 Headings B8C and B8T [Also in Division B5] A biaxially oriented plastics laminate comprising non-separable layers of (1) a vinylidene chloride-vinyl chloride copolymer and (2) an ethylene-unsaturated ester copolymer is used in food wrappings and "form, fill and seal packages" or may be laminated to paper or paper board and used in milk cartons, cereal boxes or bottle cap liners, or in blister packs. Alternatively a layer of aluminium foil may be included, and an oil resistant package produced. The laminate may be sealed by heat or high frequency or dielectrically, and may be vacuum formed.
