Abstract
1411873 Automatic exchange systems SIEMENS AG 21 Feb 1973 [23 March 1972] 8384/73 Heading H4K In a switching arrangement for connecting TDM lines which carry PCM signals the spatial switch-through is carried out in bit-parallel fashion by selective delay units K in combination with a distributer V, each unit K including intermediate stores Z1, Z2 having storage positions individually assigned to target directions 1 ... n, into which positions the individual pcm signals are recorded in addressed fashion during time intervals within a time slot and individually assigned to individual origin directions 1 ... m, and from which positions the pcm signals are read out in cyclic fashion in the next time slot, thereby introducing a selective delay, the distributer V receiving the pcm signals from the units K and distributing them among subsequent units K in accordance with the assigned target directions, i.e. the selected delays. Time channel conversion is effected by a read-out circuit L, which reads out one location from each of the full stores S1-m2 in succession, the particular locations selected being controlled by a holding set Hz. A further holding set HK controls the originto-target direction storage and delay. The stores Z1, Z2 are used alternately for write-in and read-out during adjacent time channels.
