Abstract

1411553 Clips TENNECO INC 2 Nov 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 50662/72 Heading E2B A spring steel clip 33 comprises a pair of jaws 51, 53 and is suitable for supporting the exhaust conduit of an internal cobustion engine. The clip is of a single length of wire a loop (as shown) or two loops (Figs 4, 5 not shown) being formed intermediate the jaws 51, 53 to form a holding section 57. The holding section 57 surrounds a post 31 which is connected to a suspension strap 27. The strap 27 may be flexible as by being braided or being made of elastic material. Alternatively, the strap may be of metal and be substantially rigid in compression (Figs 4, 5, not shown).
