Abstract

1410714 Multi-position pivot joints PLASTY-SPIELZEUG GmbH & CO KG 21 Feb 1973 [25 Feb 1972] 8383/73 Heading E2F A multi-position pivot joint, particularly suitable for use in dolls limbs, comprises two parts formed from resilient material defining a socket portion and a rasied socket engaging portion, and joined by the press-stud engagement of a pivot pin 5 in a bore 4, in which a corrugated cylindrical surface 3 on one part is resiliently engaged as the joint is operated by one or more laterally extending portions 9 on the other part. As shown the corrugated surface 3 is formed inside the socket portion and the projections 9 extend outwardly from the raised portion but in a further embodiment (Figs. 3, 4 not shown) the corrugated surface extends outwardly from the raised portion and the projections extend inside the socket. A movement limiting mechanism comprising abutment 6 and counter abutment 7 is formed within the joint but in other embodiments is omitted (Figs. 5, 6 not shown), or is formed on an external portion of the joint (Figs. 7, 8 not shown).
