Abstract

1409414 Valves R KOFFLER 21 Sept 1972 [22 June 1971] 29162/71 Heading F2V A container 4 for dispensing beverage concentrates 4 comprises a valve body 1 and a plunger 5 which is displaced into the blind end of a chamber 6 to bring a supply passage 5 into communication with outlet passages 7 and 9. The plunger is displaced by means of a solenoid acting on a cap 12. The solenoid is controlled by a time switch. The plunger is returned to its closed position by the vacuum created in the container 4 and by a spring 19 surrounding a rod 11. The rod is guided in a spider 15. As the plunger returns to its closed position, suction created in the outlet passages 7 and 9 prevents dripping. The body 1 is made of polyethylene and is integral with the container 4 which is also made of polyethylene. Alternatively the body has a reduced diameter portion for insertion in a container.
