Abstract

1408463 Traffic bollards WILLINGS INTERNATIONAL Ltd ESSO PETROLEUM CO Ltd and L BUSBY 6 Nov 1973 [7 Nov 1972] 51347/72 Headings E1B and E1G [Also in Division F4] A yieldably mounted bollard housing a lamp 22 illuminating a garage forecourt 14 comprises a rotatably adjustable body 10 of concrete, wood, steel or plastics which rests tiltably on a base 11 and is retained by a spring or elastic cable 17, the body 10 having a cylindrical spigot 15 seated with clearance in a cylindrical base recess 16. The connection 15-16-17 allows tilting of the body under vehicle impact and also allows rotational adjustment of the body about the spigot axis. The lamp 22 is adjustably mounted on an arm 23 and is associated with a light grille 29 and a vent hole 28.
