Abstract

1407224 Combustion product engines M MILLISAVLJEVIC 6 Sept 1972 41235/72 Heading F1S A combustion product engine comprises a source of compressed air (pump Co) a cylinder and piston arrangement M, a connecting rod and crank assembly connecting the piston to a rotary shaft AR, first and second combustion chambers C 1 , C 2 , first and second pairs of valves S 1 , S 3 , S 2 , S 4 respectively associated with first and second combustion chambers, with the first valve of each pair disposed between its associated chamber and the air source and with the second valve of each pair disposed between its associated chamber and the cylinder, a device I 1 , I 2 for injecting fuel into each chamber and a member A 1 , A 2 for igniting the fuel, a valve Ss for connecting the cylinder to the atmosphere and means for controlling the valves. The compression piston may be coaxial with the working piston and arranged around the latter. The compressor may be of the rotary type.
