Abstract
1406214 Door fastenings A J PAGLIARO and A J PAGLIARO 6 May 1974 19801/74 Heading E2A A device, for releasably retaining abutments 20 movable along a path with respect to a supporting structure, comprises a pair of jaws 9a, 9b, each having first and second ends, a common connecting member 10 to which the first ends of the jaws are connected by pivots 11a, 11b, a pair of links 13, 13 each connected at their one ends to a common pivot point 14 of the supporting structure and each pivotably conneoted at their other ends of a respective jaw intermediate the ends thereof. Upon movement of the member 10 in a direction away from the pivot point 14 the jaws are contrained by the links to approach at their second ends to engage with a respective abutment 20 to lock it against movement. As shown, the abutments are disposed on the base flaps 7a, 7b of a container, and the member 10 is coupled to a draw member 15 slidable in a guide 16 and connected to an operating handle 18 pivoted at 19, the handle may extend across the container to operate two devices.
