Abstract

1405720 Paper CLUPAK Inc 24 April 1973 [10 Oct 1972] 19285/73 Heading D2B A method for treating a paper web to improve its tensile strength, stiffness, burst, and tensile energy absorption characteristics comprises compacting the paper web without creping to render it extensible, impregnating both sides of the compacted web with a starch solution, and drying the impregnated web. The paper web may 'be internally sized with resin.
