Abstract
1404674 Exposure meters ASAHI KOGAKU KOGYO KK 21 Sept 1972 [21 Sept 1971] 43786/72 Heading G2X [Also in Division H3] In an exposure meter, the resistance of a CdS photo-sensitive resistor 6 is quantized by feeding successive currents therethrough of magnitudes determined by biasing resistors 4-1 to 4-N sequentially connected into the base circuit of transistor 5 and when V 1 is within a given range of a reference V2, enabling transistor 9 to energize the lamp or light emitting diode 10-1 to 10-N corresponding to the biasing resistor then in circuit. The ranges may overlap, two adjacent indicators being energized in the overlap regions thereby increasing the effective number of quantizations. The counter 2 may be stopped when balance is found Fig. 2 (not shown) and a switch may be provided to retain the output even if the light subsequently varies Fig. 3 (not shown).
