Abstract

1404473 Cathode constructions SIEMENS AG 26 Oct 1972 [29 March 1972] 49354/72 Heading H1D A dispenser cathode comprises an internally threaded cylinder 6 containing a charge 12 of supply material, a porous plate 10 sealed to the cylinder, a threaded member 2 extending from a refractory plate 1 and a heater 4 fastened to another member 3 extending from the plate by sintered cement 5. The charge is of BaO and the porous plate of W with a Rh or Os coating. The cathode is supported by a radiation shield foil 13. The cathode is used in cathode-ray camera and display tubes.
