Abstract

1403062 Burn and scald preparation FERRATON AS 13 Oct 1972 47283/72 Heading A5B A composition for treating burns and scalds comprises an aqueous buffer solution of pH 8-10 including a base, a fatty acid and a surface active agent. The base may be sodium carbonate or an alkali metal hydroxide or phosphate. The fatty acid may be oleic acid. The surface active agent may be sodium lauryl ether sulphate or a sulphonate. The composition may also include diethyl ether. eugenol and chlorophyll.
