Abstract

1402932 Pivoted connections INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 6 Oct 1972 [12 Oct 1971] 46245/72 Heading E2F [Also in Division B7] In a pivoted connection suitable for extending electrical wires 10 between the units of an articulated vehicle two box enclosures 12 and 24 mounted on the rear and front frame sections respectively of the articulated vehicle are pivoted together by a coupling means 20, the wires passing through an aperture in a sleeve 30. The wires are confined by securing means 54 and 56 to the upper and lower box enclosures 12 and 24 respectively and enter conduits 14. 26 provided on the box enclosures 12 and 24 respectively. The sleeve 30 is welded at its upper end to the bottom 32 of the upper box enclosure 12 and an outer collar 34, which surrounds the sleeve 30, is welded to the top 36 of the lower box enclosure 24. Synthetic washers are provided between the outer collar 34 and the sleeve 30.
