Abstract

1402259 Post-tensioned concrete floors HOLLANDSCHE BETON GROUP NV 19 Sept 1972 [13 Oct 1971] 47748/71 Heading E1W The floors of a concrete building are formed by temporarily supporting slabs 1 above columns 9, filling the gaps between the slabs (e.g. with concrete), passing post-tensioning members through aligned transverse holes 4 in the slabs, tensioning the members against the slabs to interconnect the slab to form beams, and lowering the beams onto support brackets 10 on the columns 9. Adjacent beams may be either similarly interconnected by posttensioned members passing through longitudinal holes in the slabs or interconnected by bolted members 29. The means for temporarily supporting the slabs may comprise jacks interconnected by buttresses Fig. 4 (not shown). The slabs forming the ends of the beams may have flanges for supporting infill members. The slabs may have holes for the columns 9.
