Abstract

1401387 Releasable fastenings FRANCE ARMED FORCES MINISTER OF 17 April 1973 [19 April 1972] 18540/73 Heading E2A [Also in Division B7] An assembly by means of which a helicopter may be moored to the deck of a ship, comprises a mooring hook or clamp carried by the helicopter and a structure 1 mounted flush with the deck, the structure 1 including a circular stainless steel laminated plate having therein a regular network of holes 2, the plate material between adjacent holes providing bars engageable by the mooring hook or clamp, and the plate being reinforced so as to sustain the weight of the helicopter by the provision therebeneath of a network of T- shaped sections 3 carried by an circular bucket 5, with stainless steel pillars 4 extending between the sections 3 and the plate at regions between the holes 2. The holes 2 may be round, square, rectangular, triangular or hexagonal and the bars 6 are preferably rounded in section for easy engagement by the hook or clamp.
