1401183 Lubricant BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 16 Nov 1972 [16 Nov 1971] 53082/71 Heading C5F Aluminium is worked using as lubricant a composition comprising a liquid polycyclic hydrocarbon in which at least one ring is an aromatic ring and which contains a non- aromatic hydrocarbyl group. The lubricating composition comprises 1-99% by wt. tetralin, or α-methyl, -ethyl or -iso-propyl naphthalene and a base liquid, e.g. lubricating oil or kerosine.
