Abstract

1400673 Wells &c Y REIJONEN and V REIJONEN 7 April 1973 16787/73 Heading E1F [Also in Division B1] A straining tube for a lined ground-water well comprises a plurality of spaced-apart tapered rings 1, each ring having grooves 5 in the surface thereof. The grooves run radially in the upper and lower surfaces of each ring and axially in the outer circumferential surface. The radial grooves may taper in depth and extend inwardly only part way across the upper and lower surfaces (Fig. 4 not shown). The depth of the grooves is preferably greater than the width.
