Abstract

1400418 Ejecting castings from dies GKN GROUP SERVICES Ltd 31 Oct 1972 [3 Aug 1971] 36330/71 Heading B3F A die casting machine is provided with ejector rods 14 mounted for sliding and rotary movement in a die part 11 and having their end faces 16 inclined to their longitudinal axes. The rods 14 are provided with pegs 19 which engage within slots 20 formed in a bush 21 fixed to the movable die 11. The slots 20 are shaped so that they cause the rods 14 to be rotated through an angle between 30 and 45 degrees during the latter part of the ejection movement.
