Abstract

1400005 Skipping apparatus G W ISBERG 31 Aug 1972 [16 June 1971] 28324/71 Headings A6D and A6M A skipping apparatus comprises a rigid rod, a rope or like flexible member having a weight at one end and having at the other end a ring loosely threaded onto the rod and freely rotatable relative thereto, whereby the rope or like flexible member becomes taut under the action of the centrifugal force of the weight when the rope is swung around the rod. The rod 10 preferably bears a hand grip 12 and an end stop 24. The ring is preferably one loop of a figure eight shaped plate 14. In use the skipper places one end of the rod on the ground and causes the other end to precess. As the elongate member 16 passes beneath the feet of the skipper he skips. The device may be of plastics material.
