Valve-gear.-In an internal-combustion engine in which two or more poppet valves are mounted in an inclined position in the cylinder head and are operated by rocking- levers moving in planes containing the axes of the valves, the rocking-levers are actuated by rockers operated by tension rods, Four valves 6 are set obliquely in a spherically-headed cylinder 5 and are operated by levers 15 - - 18 rocking in bearings on a plate integral with, or attached to, the cylinder head. The rocking-levers 15, 16 and 17, 18 are operated respectively by two rocking-levers 10, and a central lever 14 mounted on a pin 11 in a bracket 12 on the cylinder head and actuated by tension rods 7, 8. At the inner end, the levers 10, 14 are provided with palms engaging beneath the ends of the valve levers 15 - - 18.
