Abstract

1398163 Platform conveyers KURGANSKOE PROEKTNO - KONSTRUKTORSKOE BJURO 11 Aug 1972 37514/72 Heading B8A A platform conveyer of complex shape in a vertical plane, Fig. 1 (not shown), comprises a pair of parallel, endless driving chains 1 between which platforms 5 are each suspended by two spaced parallel rods 8 pivoted on respective pins 9 of the chains 1 and on respective axles 6 on the platform 5 one at one end of the platform on one side, the other at a distance L on the other end of the platform 5 at the other side. At curved sections of the track rollers 10 on the axles 6 follow guides 13 while the chains 1 pass around sprockets 2 separated by the distance L along the length of the track. The guides 13 lie outside a rhomb cfgh with diagonal cg of twice the height of the platform 5 with its load 14 and diagonal fh of twice the length of the platform 5. This enables the platforms 5 to be closely spaced on the chains 1 without collisions at curved sections of the track.
