Abstract

1397894 Tubular heat exchangers PRVNI BRNENSKA STROJIRNA OBOROVY PODNIK 14 June 1973 28464/73 Heading F4S In a double-walled tube plate assembly comprising a relatively thin plate member 1 bearing against a thick plate member 3 via projections 2, the plate member 1 is suitably recessed in the region around each tube passing therethrough to define a space 5 for the detection and collection of leakage fluid. The plate members 1 and 3 are welded together by a circumferential weld. The tube plate assembly is particularly for use in nuclear plant installations where the heat exchange media are molten metal and steam.
