1397348 X-ray absorbing glass ASAHI GLASS CO Ltd 16 Nov 1973 53337/73 Heading C1M A glass (which has an X-ray absorption coefficient of at least 100 cm. - <SP>1</SP> at a wavelength of 0À6 A) consists essentially of, in per cent by weight The glass, which may be used as the neck portion of a television tube, preferably has the following properties: softening point 600- 700‹ C.; annealing point 430-530‹ C. ; strain point 390-490‹ C.; and coefficient of thermal expansion 90-100 Î 10<SP>-7</SP> degrees C.<SP>-1</SP>.
