Abstract

1396746 Double-acting hydraulic presses PRZEDSIEBIORSTWO DOSWIADCZALNE PRAS AUTOMATYCZNYCH I TLOCZNIKOW "PONAR-HYDOMAT" 17 Aug 1972 [11 Sept 1971] 38328/72 Heading B5F A double-acting hydraulic press having a single platen 5 movable between upper and lower working zones in a frame 3 includes cylinders 2a, 2b mounted on the upper and lower parts of the frame and associated plungers 1a 1b having several working'faces of different areas for exposure to hydraulic pressure. Associated with each working face of the plungers is a fluid inlet A, B, C, D through the cylinders. The plungers 1a, 1b act on plates 6a, 6b which are connected to the platen 5 by columns 4. The stroke of each plunger la, 1b is adjustable by rotation of a respective ring gear 8a or 8b screw-threaded on the associated cylinder 2a or 2b for co-operation with the respective plate 6a or 6b.
