Abstract

1396297 Cameras C S MILLS 19 Oct 1972 [23 July 1971] 34638/71 Heading G2A The lens panel 21 and film holder 22 of a camera are mounted on a base bar 23 at an adjustable distance apart, each having a number of degrees of rotational movement. As shown, the film holder, which can be replaced by a focusing screen, is mounted so that it can rotate through 360 degrees in the plane of its supporting holder 22. The holder itself can rotate about an axis 26 passing through the optical axis 25, and also through the spindle 29 which mounts the holder on a block sliding on the base bar 23. The lens is mounted in a ball-and-socket joint in the opening 24 in the lens panel 21, which panel can also slide along the bar 23. The bar itself is mounted on a tripod or support by an attachment 28 so that the whole camera and bar can pivot about the axis 27. In the modification of Fig.1 (not shown) the lens and film holders can move along the base bar (3) by a rack and pinion arrangement which allows both coarse and fine adjustment.
