1395140 Board game M I GLASS (trading as MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES) 11 Dec 1973 [16 Feb 1973] 57348/73 Heading A6H Game apparatus comprises a game board having a path of travel for playing pieces, simulated money (and cheques), a set of chance cards and a chance device, Fig. 6, having a base 102, a shaft carried by two upstanding flanges 104, 106, two elongate elements 110, 112 rotatably mounted on the shaft and coloured or printed indicia-bearing faces 116, 118 at each end so that, after rotation, the uppermost indicia determine a player's move. The board is marked with investments e.g. "Antiques, London, England 10 million". One or two dice determine moves round the board. The chance cards bear instructions such as collecting profits from, selling out, or losing, investments. Ownership of an investment is designated by a card placed in a holder 20, the holders being coloured to denote the different players. The cards 18, Fig. 7, some having central holes, are stacked in a container 28 mounted in the centre of the board and simulating a ticker-tape machine. The cards are inserted through a hole 38 and are issued from a slot 41 when a plunger 42 is depressed to urge a pusher-head 64 against the lowermost card. The card is pulled clear by a player. If the card has a hole, a contact arm 82 is allowed to move upwardly to make a contact 84 and actuate a battery-operated bell 72. The chance device of Figure 6 is used to determine action if one player lands on another's investment. For Figures see next column
