Abstract

1395019 Esters MONSANTO CO 22 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 59325/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises compounds of the formula where A is an alkyl or cycloalkyl radical of 5 to 13 carbon atoms, A is a mixture of aliphatic and aromatic dicarboxylic acid residues, G is an alkylene radical of 2 to 16 carbon atoms which may contain one or more hetero atoms and x is 0À5-0À9 or 4À7-10À0. The compounds are prepared by reacting together under esterification conditions an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, an alkylene glycol and an alkanol or cycloalkanol. An anhydride may be used in place of an acid.
