1392704 Gear finishing; abrasive tools HURTH VERWALTUNGS GmbH 15 Jan 1974 [12 Feb 1973] 01881/74 Headings B3K and B3D A gear finishing tool for use in crossed-axes operation comprises teeth 5, having a layer 6 of a mixture of bonding metal and diamond granules applied galvanically. If the tool is not fed in the direction 8 during the finishing operation the tooth flanks of the tool are of hyperboloido-concave form. If the workpiece has internal gearing the teeth of the tool are longitudinally crowned, i.e. are convex.
