Abstract

1392136 Protective suit HELLY-HANSEN AS 13 April 1973 [17 April 1972] 18055/73 Heading A3V A protective suit for use against poisonous gases and liquids comprises an outer layer 3 of material which is non-permeable to gases and liquids and in which are formed ventilation openings covered by pieces 6 of the outer layer material to define pockets 7 opening downwards with respect to a wearer, and an inner gas-porous filter layer 9 completely covering at least the ventilation openings, the filter layer being impregnated in use with an agent for neutralising the poisonous substances against which the suit is intended to be used. A perforated panel 10 e.g. of fine mesh fabric is secured to the layer 3 below the ventilation openings. The filter layer 9 may be exchangeably mounted thereon. An adhesive fastener 8 or double zipper is provided.
