Abstract

1388002 Rotary positive-displacement pumps ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 17 Aug 1972 [20 Aug 1971] 38344/72 Heading F1F [Also in Divisions G2 and G3] The eccentricity of a cylinder 14 of a sliding- vane pump is controlled by a pressure compensating system including a first piston 17 subjected at 24 and 26 to pump discharge pressure and a second, larger area piston 18 subjected at 30 to a control pressure established by spool 42 which responds to pump discharge pressure in chamber 20 as opposed by spring 27 and aided by a spring 28 adjusted by piston 17. Chamber 20 may connect with line 30 via a line (31) including a restriction (32) which prevents total pressure loss in the chamber when the spool connects line 30 to drain. In the Fig.4 modification, piston 50 replaces piston 17 and feeds back to the spool via piston 52 and spring 58.
