Abstract

1386791 Bus-bars BONAR LONG & CO Ltd 17 March 1972 [6 April 1971] 8902/71 Heading H2E A bus-bar assembly for electrical distribution systems, wherein a fused contact, cable distribution way comprising an insulating base 3, fitted vertically across flat horizontal phase bus-bars 2 mounted on laminated insulating backboard 1, live contacts 4 connected to the bus-bars 2, other "dead" contacts 5 with cable mounting means 14 and mounted on base 3, each with bifurcated free end to receive fuse cartridge (not shown), is adapted to be fitted with "a live jointing kit" in two forms as a protective means for live assembly work, and in one form consists of insulating sleeves 10 and two channel shaped shrounds 9 of insulating material which are secured in position by interphase barriers in position 12, and in a second form consists of channel shaped shrouds 6, fixed pillars 7 at top and bottom of moulding 3 securing shrouds 6 and insulating sleeves 8.
