Abstract

1385484 Box with handle BOWATER PACKAGING Ltd 5 April 1972 [22 April 1971] 10807/71 Heading B8P In a box, opposed extensions provided with hand holes 15, 16 can be brought together to form a handle, and flaps 26, 27 cut from opposed extension panels (20, Fig. 1), 21 which are folded face-to-face with opposed box walls 3, (4, Fig. 1), have slots 28 engageable with notches 18, 19 on the handle extensions. Alternatively the box can be provided with a flat top closure by inwardly folding the flaps 26, 27 and the handle extensions, and inserting a locking tab 17 in a slit 11. The extension panels (20), 21 include vertically extending lines of weakness.
