Abstract

138,539. Lutz, H. June 11, 1919. Insulators.-Relates to insulators composed of a body part C of good insulation adapted to withstand atmospheric influences and an insulating- core B to resist tensile strains, and consists in securing the core B to its metal caps A', A<2> by providing the core with flattened ends which are inserted into recesses A' in the caps and then rotated. Packings G, H are provided, and the part A<2> has a nut D. The air in the internal spaces is extracted, and melted insulating-material I poured in. When used in series, Fig. 4, the parts C may vary in diameter.
