Abstract

1385304 Mounting clutch discs on hubs FICHTEL & SACHS AG 8 Feb 1973 [11 Feb 1972] 6356/73 Heading F2U A clutch plate 9 with friction linings 21 at its periphery is mounted on a (e.g. splined) hub 1 by two vibration dampers 4, 15 each comprising a hub flange 3, 14 between two side plates 9, 10, 17, the stiffer vibration damper 4, for transmitting the major part of the torque having a lost motion connection (e.g. loose splines) between its flange 3 and the hub 1 to which the other hub flange 14 is fixed, the flange 3 of the damper 4 being restrained against axial motion, in one direction by the other flange 14, and in the other direction by a spring ring. The damper 4 may be frictionally damped by linings 7 clamped by a ring 11 loaded by leaf springs 12 held by rivets 6 connecting the plates 9, 10. The damper 15 may also be frictionally clamped. The flange 14 may be press fitted on the hub 1 and abut a shoulder 23 thereon.
