Abstract

1385022 Burners ALADDIN INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 Jan 1972 [27 Jan 1971] 3336/71 Heading F4T A liquid fuel burning heater is provided with a radiant burner 1, a wick 3 and a fuel tank 7, combustion air being fed to the interior of the wick through a tube 4 passing through the fuel tank, the tube 4 being in air-tight communication with an open cup 9 surrounding the base of the burner by way of a duct 10 which passes beneath and around one side of the tank 7. In this way air for both inside and outside of the burner 1 is drawn from the open cup 9 rendering the burner substantially immune from the adverse effects of draughts. A flame extinguishing device 8 is provided to lower the wick on tilting of the heater.
