Abstract

1384440 Desks J R C FIBRE FORMS Ltd 14 Dec 1972 57716/72 Heading A4H A desk comprises a first deep compartment 1, a second shallow compartment 2 secured to or integral with compartment 1, and a top panel 5 hinged at 6 to a wall 2a of compartment 2 and pivotable between a position in which it covers compartment 2, and, if desired, also compartment 1, and a position in which it permits access to compartment 2, the dimensions being such that the desk can be fitted into a vehicle with the base of compartment 1 resting on the floor and the base of compartment 2 resting on a seat. A U-shaped member 3 secured at the junction between compartments 1 and 2 provides a groove 4 for pens, &c. The top edge of compartments 1 and 2 includes a rubber beading 8. Panel 5 has a clip 7 to secure papers. Two opposite sides of compartment 1 include rails for supporting hanging folders. The desk comprises glass fibre, plastics, wood, metal, hardboard, or ceramics.
