Abstract

1384347 Silo bottom unloader TUISKULAN RAUTARAKENNE SALO & SALO 6 June 1973 [9 June 1972] 27047/73 Heading B8E A silo bottom unloader comprising a sweep arm 8 with cutting chain conveyer A and a discharge conveyer B fixed in a trough 9 has teeth 2 on spaced links 1, Fig. 2, and peg members 3 on adjacent links. The teeth and pegs are so angled on the links that they overlap when the chain is on a linear path so that material dislodged accumulates at 10 while as the chain moves in a curved path, as round the reversing wheel 4, the peg members move towards the tip of the teeth forcing the material off to fall for discharge in the trough 9. An external drive is provided for the chains and for rotation of the arm 8 the drive of which and of the chain A is derived from the chain B.
